#125 Striped Basilisk
IUCN Redlist: Not Evaluated
Location: Lake Catemaco, Veracruz, Mexico
Time: 1300 CST November 16, 2011
Also known as the Jesus Christ lizard, these are famous for their ability to run on the surface of water. They live along the edge of water, so if they are threatened, they can escape by this unexpected route. I found this one along the edge of a small stream.
